After waiting for 6 months the day finally arrived. Master Photographer Sandy “Sam” Puc was in Columbia, SC on a tour to share some of her 20 years of experience with fellow family/baby photographers. I love Sam’s style and know there is so much to learn from her. I have attended previous classes taught by her at the WPPI Convention in Las Vegas, but this was an opportunity to spend 5+ hours getting inspired. Everything from posing to marketing was covered. I learned many new techniques, lighting ideas, and was inspired to create some new marketing pieces. Being a master photographer has always been a goal of mine. Achieving this is quite an accomplishment. Continually learning is a great step towards this goal! Thanks Sam for your inspiration.
Well I am finally posting a couple of pics from our trip to New Smyrna Beach Florida. It was a perfect trip. The beach was awesome, the water temp. was great, not too hot, not too cold, no shark attacks, and the weather was great. Savannah found the birds the most interesting and chased them 80% of the time on the beach. Ash continued to work on her tan. Robby and Molly boogie boarded a bunch. John made sand castles. Brian played with all the kids, and took John, Rob and Molly fishing. He even tried his hand at boogie boarding, WV style! Jack and I played in the water and dug in the sand. Fortunately he is not as adventurous as his sister, he didn’t try eating the sand. A great time was had by all, can’t wait til next year!
Most of you know I have a Savannah, but we have made a new friend who shares her name. Savannah Kate, born in August is my mom’s new neighbor. After my biggest fan (my mom) shared some of my work with Meagan (Savannah’s mom) while she was pregnant, (out walking trying to help things along), she and her hubby decided they wanted me to create the first art piece of Sweet Savannah. She is a beautiful baby, and was a joy to work with. I can’t wait to create her birth announcements with the wonderful photos we got.
Meet the new Mr&Mrs Cruz! The wedding was at South Park and a beautiful reception to follow at the Raddison rooftop. What a glorious view of the city and poolside to boot. It was quite a warm day, but the evening thunderstorm cooled things off. Fortunately they had an inside/outside venue, so we just moved the party inside. The food was wonderful (the groom is a chef!). Everything was picture perfect! Thanks Paul & Sam for having me.
